sex with subchorionic hematoma? personal question.

I'm now 13 weeks and the SCH is still there, although getting lighter in color and same size. how long before they go away? my poor DH... i don't really mind that much, but we did IVF to get pregnant and no sex since transfer before that so it's been like 11 weeks since we had sex.

OP - I'm the previous posted that had a SCH found at 11 weeks with a massive bleed followed by 7-8 weeks of brown blood. My SCH got up to 8cm after starting at 4. I also have a 2 year old and was lifting him and carrying about my normal daily activities. It wasn't until I completely stopped lifting him and became a couch potato (minus going to work) for 3 weeks that my SCH finally went away. It was a hard three weeks with a 2 year old, but you need to have DH step up and take care of more than he might normally do in terms of child care. And your DH can survive no sex. This is for the health of your child.

I never get these questions. Can't you just abstain? Sex Is SO IMPT that you need to risk it?

Exactly. Your "poor DH" - tell him to jerk off. He can deal.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but there are other forms of intimacy! Having spent five weeks on pelvic rest this pregnancy, and facing the possibility of more, it was really important to my husband that we find other ways to connect physically -- both sexually and otherwise.

Sorry but I need sex and this lack of sex due to sch is really depressing me. Yeah I can service my husband orherwise but I have needs and I'm seriously about to cum just walking. Ugh I can't take it anymore. Don't feel bad to admit it ladies. Better to be over sexed than a frustrated person.

I abstained due to a subchorionic hematoma. Thing is, even the doctors who recommended pelvic rest, always added that there was no real evidence sex would be bad for the fetus even if it might cause extra spotting. Hindsight's 20/20 but I sort of regret avoiding sex since it was harder to start up again once I was bigger and my husband had the idea it could hurt the baby. Then again, my spotting was mostly light.

My point is, there isn't one right answer.

I know this is an old forum ut i was reading for answers for myself and thought i would add my expperience. I rushed to the er at 8 weeks. I had a sharp pain in my pelvic region and ddecided it was just round ligament pain as this is my 6th cild and i havent had complications with the others went and laid down about an hour later i felt a pop and a gush like my water had broke., jumped up with a trail of bloood and a puddle at my feet before i could get shorts down to sit on toilet., rushed to er where thay did and ultrasound thats all determined all was fine and was prolly bleeding due to a burst cyst. my first ob appointment was 3 weeks away and bled every day till then thay did a pelvic exam seen the blood so they knew i wasnt lying about it and an ultrasound to find my moderate size subchorionc hemmorage. i am 24 weeks pregnant with baby girl and quit bleeding at 18 weeks. but im still n pelvic rest and see my regular ob and a high risk doctor once a month to check on her my cervial length and the clot. my regular ob at first advised termination because of the size i refused and my high risk says we should make it to 34 weeks
