this is OP. had the bleeding from the SCH at 6.5 weeks - took a few weeks of trying not to lift, trying to take it easy, but I have a 2 year old who weighs 28 lbs, so completely doing nothing was impossible. a few weeks later, with no bleeding, I resumed normal activities with my toddler and the SCH still is on the ultrasounds although not getting any bigger and no more bleeding. we haven't had sex though. I'm now 13 weeks and the SCH is still there, although getting lighter in color and same size. how long before they go away? my poor DH... i don't really mind that much, but we did IVF to get pregnant and no sex since transfer before that so it's been like 11 weeks since we had sex.
OP - I'm the previous posted that had a SCH found at 11 weeks with a massive bleed followed by 7-8 weeks of brown blood. My SCH got up to 8cm after starting at 4. I also have a 2 year old and was lifting him and carrying about my normal daily activities. It wasn't until I completely stopped lifting him and became a couch potato (minus going to work) for 3 weeks that my SCH finally went away. It was a hard three weeks with a 2 year old, but you need to have DH step up and take care of more than he might normally do in terms of child care. And your DH can survive no sex. This is for the health of your child.
