Yes I believe in the existence of Satan ( I am Muslim). I would be scared if I had a dream like that but just pray and ask God to protect you from Satan, Satan has no power when you have God's protection.

I think people use Satan as an excuse and a way to escape either taking responsibility themselves or holding others to account.

That said, I'm, for the most part, agnostic. I think it's sort of a fruitless endeavor to contemplate the existence of such things. I'm not saying they don't exist. I'm saying that it is impossible to know. The energy we expend speculating on such things could be better spent actually dealing with the actions we call evil (genocide, murder, oppression, torture).

The idea that satanic exist as outside forces to confuse and subvert people is a myth perpetuated by those who seek to control the minds of others for their own ends. Evil exists internally, initiated within the confines of the deranged human mind. Life can be cruel but it is of our own making her on the planet. Practicing evil is a source power, strength and control for inadequate people.

Based on much of what has been done throughout history in the name of God, perhaps Satan's greatest trick was convincing many that he was God.

No. There is no Satan. OP, stop watching scary movies or reading scary books before bed. Dreams are just dreams. Do you believe all of your dreams have been truth?

Last night I dreamt that I threw all of the clothes my dh keeps leaving on the floor in the toilet and the toilet actually flushed them all away. I was ecstatic! Then I woke up and it was not true. It was just a dream.
