What is expected to be included in the ECNL fee? (ECNL National)

Shouldn’t we as parents be asking these questions of clubs before we accept offers on behalf of our kids? I just wouldn’t feel comfortable not knowing what I am signing up for.

A lot of parents don’t want to come out as annoying asking all sort of details right from the start… it might already put them in the coaches bad side. Just an assumption. Websites should really just provide all the details.

They do the same getting mortgage, car, paying for college? (not asking questions for fear of being annoying)

For our team the $3000ish includes training and games/showcases/tournaments

Add to that:
- $1000-1500 for coach travel costs
- $500 uniform and gear
- 100% of travel costs to every game for parents AND players (no bus)

1000-1500 for coach's travel cost sounds on the high side - that's 18k a season, assuming a roster of 18 players.

FVU is $3,200 + $500 (team fee).
ECNL National league games and training (3 times a week), 3 events included, but no uniforms.
I think most clubs don’t include uniforms.
Is $3,700 a lot?

Seems to be on the higher end.
ECNL clubs tent to have more events/tournaments than only 3, included in the total fee.

Our coach took his whole family to FL for a tournament.

$3700 for FVU seems pretty high for just 3 events. VDA, which seems to have the most comprehensive fee info, goes to way more than that and trains 4 days per week per their ppt.

SYC MLSN is 3K - does NOT include any tournaments or showcases.

Union team fees were split into 2 different season, $500 is for fall - winter and another $500 (more or less) for spring/summer.

I think in general, top team pays about $3,000 (more or less) + team fees that varies from team to team (probably about 1k)

Top teams for girls U13-U14 generally attend pre-season tournament, WAGS, Jeff Cup, ECNL Showcase, then 1-3 local tournaments depend on the team.

Then Playoff in summer will be billed separately but probably something like $200 more or less from each player.

$1k total just for the team fee? seems like a lot. Maybe the 2nd $500 was to cover additional tournaments or leagues etc.?
