+1 on Savannah for restaurants. Absolutely worth the drive. The Grey is fabulous. And so is Husk. Save room for ice cream at Leopolds. And try to get there a couple of hrs before dinner to explore the wonderful shops and boutiques in the historic district, or stop by the Telfair Museum. Nearly everything is walkable (weather and shoes permitting). |

We have a place there.
Top of my list for great food: Charlie’s Green Star (étoile vert) or Pomodori |

I' ma fan of Skull Creek https://www.skullcreekboathouse.com/
The views can't be beaten- it's not fancy, but it's island life! |
I was going to recommend that, but considering it’s a date night on vacation. I’m assuming they have people watching the kids and weights there can run 3 to 4 hours. Too much rolling the dice on that one. |
Charlie’s has major consistency problem. You can have a fabulous meal there or an awful meal there, nothing in between always one or the other. I would much rather them just focus on putting out mediocre food, then you can at least manage expectations. Pomodori is fine, but not for a date night. Zero atmosphere and really loud. |
This is a fun place... but again, family oriented with booths, etc. |
