How many Evite reminders do you send? Only one response for party so far

DC has one good friend whose parents never respond to evite but always attends the birthday. The first year I followed up with text message. After the second year, i just note that they attend even though no response.

I would send a reminder via text on Tuesday so they are out of holiday mode, most people are getting back to usual routines then and more likely to respond. Also, I’ve always found I get more responses/quicker responses if I do text evites rather than email evites.

Agreed on text evites! I try to not ever email them unless I have no other contact info.

This was the only weekend that worked due to family birthdays each weekend thru February. I sent evites before school let out for winter break as well and they were promptly opened but no one has sent regrets either. DH says people will wait until the day or so before to say yes or no.

I would send something Tuesday when people are past vacation mode and back to regular life.

This. But also people are terrible and rude. Blah blah busy with holidays - you know those same ppl are on their phones all day and it takes one minute to click and reply.

PP and disagree that email is a problem. We've always used email and it's fine, it rarely goes to spam. Text evites are the worst, I can never find them again bc you can't search the same way.

I would start texting and calling by Wed so that you have at least a small respectable group for Dc
