What about Lucia's similarity to your first daughter's name concerns you? Maybe your second daughter could go by a nickname instead?

Anonymous wrote:DH and I are at an impasse with names. We have a Louisa, need another girls name. He is Italian heritage, I am Spanish/Scandinavian. I want something out there. He likes Beatrix and Bernadette, I'm not sold. I love Inez, Paloma, iris etc.

Lucia would be the perfect name but too close to Louisa. Help!

I don't know if you have any Spanish speaking relatives, but they absolutely will not be able to pronounce Beatrix. Beatriz is a pretty choice--Louisa and Beatriz sounds lovely.

-mom of Hispanic Beatrix, or Bee-trick, according to her grandparents.
