Everyone I know is either going to Landon or Stone Ridge

Any reason why people are so interested in these schools. I didn't have them on my radar but now thinking about it.

Is it for academics or sports or less pressure or simply easier schools to get into.

Seems like the obvious thing to do is ask “everyone [you] know”!

Less pressure. Lots of club families. For better academics try Visi or Gonzaga.

+1. Niche Rankings:

Best Private High Schools in America
101 St. Albans
111 Landon

And Gonzaga is...481.

Niche is far from perfect but the range is accurate.

Who cares about arbitrary "rankings"? How are these rankings even determined? The "best school" is the one that your child can thrive and learn in. St. Albans and Landon are more prestigious than Gonzaga, but that doesn't mean it's the best fit for your kid.

True but PP said Gonzaga has better academics. That is not true at all.

Stone Ridge is much easier academics than Holton, but they are better at sports. Holton is intense academically but also has an amazing school spirit and traditions.

And a PP used Niche to refute that? What are you basing your opinion on?
