SSSAS Dress Code or Uniforms?

I know they have uniforms for LS, but do students just have a dress code in MS and US?

There is a dress code. No uniform.

Dress code. MS has a stricter dress code than the US. Although at US, they are shirts/ties for chapel day only.

It’s kind of a weird dress code that I don’t understand. No blue jeans but the girls basically just wear leggings and oversized sweatshirts. Would almost rather have uniforms.

It's pretty lax still in MS. I thought more a uniform in LS. In MS you just need yo look "presentable" and no logos/decals on what you wear.

Middle school dress code is a hot mess. Upper school dress code you can wear your underwear hanging out of your skirt. If you wear underwear. It’s actually encouraged. That should tell you probably everything you need to know about the school.

I saw the same while touring NCS, so I’m not so sure it’s a school thing as it is a high school thing.

If I may revive this thread, I’m looking for some guidance on chapel days. Do any Saints parents have suggestions for dresses that would be ok for chapel days AND that a teen might wear?

The girls wear exactly what a teen would wear. Quite short skirts/dresses, often. Others wear whatever suits their personal sense of style as long as it isn’t sweats or blue denim. The girls have a lot more flexibility on chapel days than the boys.

DD is a little more conservative with her clothes than some, because while she thinks the styles are cute she’s just not comfortable wearing tight or revealing clothes herself. She’s worn nice skorts or skirts with romper shorts or whatever those are called for teens rather than little kids, above the knee but not just below her butt. Sometimes (esp when it’s colder) she wears nice but comfortable (microfiber/stretch) pants. Nice tops or sweaters. Occasionally she wears a dress, again above the knee but not super short.

Other girls wear very short skirts. Still other girls wear longer skirts or don’t wear skirts at all. It’s very flexible, even for chapel.

Thank you, PP! What stores or sites do you tend to have luck finding your DD’s clothes at?

Fairly preppy ones. Mostly Old Navy, Target, J Crew (outlet malls and sales!), Gap, and even Talbots (she likes some of their sweaters). Less commonly Madewell, Athleta (too expensive for what they have, honestly), South Moon Under for more quirky pieces, a couple dresses from Pact.
