*Actual* smudgeproof mascara!

Any recommendations? I always wear waterproof mascara, but I still get black smudges above and below my eyes when I laugh a lot, which is always. Nothing I've tried seems to work. TIA.

try any of the tubing mascaras

Do not get Burts Bees waterproof. I'm looking for the same thing and I suspect it's partially the fault of my oily moisturizer. I don't wear mascara apart from special occasions so it might also not be a fresh enough tube but its less than 6 months.

Tubular mascara.

I love blinc, but don't have any at the moment because Sephora stopped carrying it. I now have Tartlette, but it isn't as good. But any tubing mascara is good.

I heard bye bye panda eyes was the best for this but I haven’t been able to find it at ulta yet and too lazy to buy online.

This one. It doesn’t smudge at all! But it doesn’t do much in terms of lengthening. Ulta sells it.

I'm 58 and am totally understanding you! I mostly stopped wearing makeup 15 years ago but, now that the kids are pretty much out of the house, I'm getting back into it. I have watched A LOT of TikTok videos!

The PP recommending tube mascara are spot on! There are a good number to choose from. I started with L'Oréal Double Extend Lash because it was highly rated and I didn't want to put a lot of money into tube mascara if it wasn't going to work for me. It does!

Be sure to read the directions on how to apply. It had been so long since I'd worn makeup that I didn't know lash primers were a thing!

It's cheaper on Amazon but you'll want to be sure it's not counterfeit if you buy there.

Estée Lauder little black primer. It can be used alone as a mascara/lash stain.

Also can be used under another mascara for volume or over a mascara to help seal it in. It is pretty amazing. I almost always wear it alone

Not sure why you think they stopped carrying it? I always buy it there. Just got a new one yesterday.

OP here - thank you all so much for these suggestions! I've never tried a tubing mascara. Does it remove easily with the usual eye makeup remover? Thanks!

I’m the Estée Lauder PP. I’ve tried tubing mascara before and didn’t love it. At first it is fine, even great. To remove you have to wet your lashes and gently put pressure/pull on them. This is fine on occasion, but with daily use, I was pulling lashes out. Also, seeing the plastic tubes in the sink made me think it is probably bad for the environment so be washing this into water system- like the micro beads in face wash

NP and I use the L'Oreal mascara somebody recommended above. I've tried so many brands that give me raccoon eyes by the end of the day, but this doesn't.

You just wash it off in the shower (I shower at night). Otherwise I would expect it come off easily with water or jojoba oil.

I do remember a DCUM post a while back where someone was upset their new mascara was causing their eyelashes to fall out in the shower. No, that was the tubes coming off.
