Discover and Capital One Merger

Capital One bought Discover for $35 Billion. Just saw the notice when I was logging into my Discover account.

I LOVE my Discover card. Such excellent customer service. I HATE Capital One. Infuriating customer service.

Is Discover going to become just as bad as Capital One now? I guess we need to find a new favorite credit card.

I love Cap1, have a car loan, bank and credit card accounts with them.

I’m sure the five people who use discover will love them too.

It was just announced yesterday. It has not been approved.

The Discover website says it’s a done deal. If you have a Discover card and try to log in, they say that Discover and Capital One have merged.

Discover savings accounts have great rates. I guess I'm poor because 4.3 APY is enough for me to keep an account there. I'll probably move to ally if the make me transition to the capital 1 website

I was thinking the same thing! They may start you out with a low limit, like $1,000, but they’ll raise it after you’ve proven you’ll use it responsibly and pay on time.

I was thinking the same thing! They may start you out with a low limit, like $1,000, but they’ll raise it after you’ve proven you’ll use it responsibly and pay on time.

Discover is known to be the easy card to get for college students. They can not always get a VISA.

Discover was my first credit card! I’ve had it over 30 years. But I despise Capital One.

Will be sad to give up on Discover.

"Discover and Capital One approved an agreement in which Discover will merge into Capital One" means the companies have approved it. The government has not.
