Does anyone know of stores that still sell it? |
Can’t help you with what happened, but three weeks ago my local Giant clearanced them out at 75% off and I bought all but two pints. Haven’t seen it since. |
Because all the brands are busy making non dairy version filled with crap ingredients instead of offering simple, low fat options like they used to. |
I think this is right. I recently looked for froyo in my Giant and Whole Foods and found zero (except for Yasso bars). But there was a ton of non-dairy frozen desserts, oat, coconut and almond milk ice creams, etc. I wanted lower fat, not non-dairy. |
Do any of the ben & jerrys stores sell it? |
My guess is that there is not much of a market for it anymore. It was popular during the “sugar does not matter as long as you are eating low fat” phase. Now if people are going to eat ice cream, they are going to eat the real stuff. Or they are going for the specialized versions — dairy-free or the ice-creams designed to be low calorie. |
According to their website, they only make two flavors now, and I guess supermarkets are using the shelf space for the non-dairy/vegan options. |
OP here. Your reply prompted me to go to my local Giant, where I bought most of what they had left - also 75% off. |

I miss Ben and Jerry’s half baked fro yo. |

People realized that if they were going to have ice cream, they just wanted ice cream, not yogurt! |
Why do all the fro yo places have long lines then? |
It’s the toppings, not the yogurt. |
I liked the fro yo better than the ice cream. Tried non-diary once. Don't buy Ben & Jerry's anymore.
