Is “ranch water” a thing outside of Texas (and California)?

It’s just blanco tequila, Topo Chico (or soda water), and a juice from half a lime.

They sell it in a can now

Never heard of it (in California)

I've seen something called a "Rancharita" is this similar?

It’s a gin rickey (spl?) made with tequila instead of gin.

I’ve seen it as a canned cocktail but didn’t know it was a thing. Thanks for the explanation!

As someone who grew up with cattle, the term “ranch water” means something completely different and not anything you’d want to consume.

Lot of SoCal people I know drink tequila and sodas.

It's a tequila soda with lime. I think it only became a thing when people became obsessed with Topo Chico.

I think Bar Taco sells it

But not just a lime garnish, it has half a lime squeezed into it. How do you ask for that when ordering? “Half oz of fresh lime juice”?
