Feud: Capote vs. The Swans

Anyone planning to watch? The cast includes some great actresses, so even though I'm not familiar with this story I want to check it out. I don't have FX, but it's supposed to stream on Hulu.

I'm planning to watch this one. Looks like it will be good. Good cast, interesting story.

It’s not showing as available for me. It only shows the Betty and Joan season. Can anyone actually watch it?

I think it airs tonight and then will probably be available for streaming either later tonight or tomorrow.

I am planning to watch, though I have mixed feelings about Ryan Murphy and had zero interest in the first Feud season. But yes, this one is packed with interesting actresses including some real talents.

Also, a while back I read the book The Swans of Fifth Avenue, which is a novel based on the story of Capote and these women. I have not read the non-fiction both about the same thing but I enjoyed the novel, which had the freedom to imagine all the private moments between these people that are of course not documented for posterity. I'm fascinated by some of the women involved, especially Babe Haley and Slim Keith. They led fascinating lives, and all the fashion and style of their lives really lends itself to an on-screen representation.

I will probably watch at some point. The first season was amazing!

It's . . . .just ok so far. The dramatic music and POVs is a bit much for what is just an old lady's gossip girl. I'm going to keep watching for now (2 episodes are available now). But, we'll see.

Anyone know how true the story is?

Ny times review was not good...but I will try anyway

I watched half of the first episode and stopped. It was too slow paced for me.

I'll watch, but my experience with most Ryan Murphy productions is: great concept, great casting, then the story gets bogged down and falls in on itself.

TIL that Babe Paley’s father was the doctor who discovered Cushing’s disease.

Is it available anywhere other than Hulu (which we don't have)?

It should be on FX if you still have cable. Most of Ryan Murphy’s stuff has been.

I watched the first episode last night but only made it halfway through before I was falling asleep. That's not necessarily a reflection on the show, but it was a bit slow. I might need to refresh my memory on the story also.

First thoughts: would I have been captivated by Capote (as played in this show)? I don't think so.
