How much you pay for sleepaway camp

We are in dmv area. A friend told me that it is normal that sleepaway camp in the area is around $1500/week, and she is looking at $1900/week for her child. That blows my mind off. How much you have paid for a week?

1900 plus airfare and car rental for one. 1650 for another.

~8k/mo per kid. Blows my mind too! We also do private school for 4 kids average 48k/kid. I'd be so rich monetarily without kids - probably not as rich in life though.

Just under $6,000 for three weeks. And you want them to love it, but then they’ll definitely want to go back. And the price goes up a bit every summer.

Yes that's the normal price, and no, not everybody does it. In fact, most people don't do it.

We might try Girl Scout camp sometime, but can't afford to spend an entire summer's worth of camp money on one week when we could spend that $2000 on a hotel room for the whole family for a week.

I forget, maybe $900 for one, $1300 for another but speciality camps.
