4th baby, family name. I hate the nicknames for it, though

It makes me think of Babar which I know is no longer politically correct but was a beloved book to me. It's a beautiful name.

I grew up with a dog named Celeste, who we absolutely adored to pieces. I sometimes called her Celestial Seasonings. I hate the name.

I think it's pretty and love the meanings. Are you a nickname family? I knew I wanted nickname options for my kids so we chose names with nicknames we really liked. But I have friends whose kids always go by their full names, even with more formal names, and it's fine for them.

Though I guess another consideration is if you would be unhappy if your DD one day decided to go by a nickname you don't like.

I love it. Went to high school with a Celeste and no one ever called her by a nickname. I don’t even know what nicknames there are for Celeste.

It's very pretty. Classic, not too long or too short and no stupid nickname.
