Recommend fiction books about working as an assistant to the rich/famous?

Anonymous
Other than Devil Wears Prada, I've read that one. Anyone know of other books where the main (or one of the main) characters is an assistant to someone very wealthy, famous, or both? Would especially love any focused on the music industry, but casting as wide a net as I can.

This is for research so it's okay if the books aren't amazing. Though if you can think of any in this vein you particularly enjoyed, I'd love to hear what they are!

TIA.

Actually non-fiction books would be great too.

I’ve just started reading the new Michael Lewis book, and chapter one so far is focused on Sam Bankman-Fried’s assistant. It’s fascinating already!

Ah, thanks. I did read this one when it came out but it's been years -- I'll add it to the list.

Actually I hadn't thought about nannies -- there's got to be other books about nannies to the wealthy and famous people. Or maybe long form article... thanks for the thought.

There's one written by Carrie Fisher's former assistant. Don't know the title, but it got some good press when released. You could Google that.

In the same vein as Devil Wears Prada, though not about assistants, per se, there was The Starter Wife and Bergdorf Blondes.

I think there are some thrillers about nannies. The Au Pair comes to mind, though I never read it.

Personal companion: Still Me by JoJo Moyes and Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

There are probably several nanny/babysitter books out there. Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid comes to mind.

Assistant turned romantic interest: All the Feels by Olivia Dade

Rom Com movie featuring assistants: Set It Up

Not an assistant per se but initially scheduler for then Senator Obama and eventually Chief of Staff for Operations for the President, "Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?" by Alyssa Mastromonaco was an interesting read.

A book I loved when it came out (not sure if it holds up) was Bringing Home the Birkin: My Life in Pursuit of the Most Coveted Handbag. Insider account and dealing with plenty of rich and famous, as I recall.
