Initial observations GWU GTown and Emory moved up significantly. NYU and WM dropped

| Duke at #23. Just another example where a supposedly top ten school is underperforming. |
| The fact that so many are clustered together shows that there is very little difference between any of the schools after the top 10. |
| We toured Emory for CS recently. Small dept and limited course offerings. If you want to be in Atlanta, try GTech instead. |
|
I never thought of Duke as that highly rated for CS. UMD is a T20 for CS in various rankings. So, that's no surprise, and this ranking matches other CS rankings. |
| NYU and WM are not heavy weights for CS. |
| UVA is top 50. |
|
So this is including LACs?
I see Harvey Mudd and that's pretty much about it? |
below VTech. LOL |
LACs aren't that strong in CS/engineering. |
| Pretty impressive that the Naval Academy is able to develop a CS program that is apparently at least as good as those at BU, Lehigh, Pitt, & Tufts. |
|
Maryland!
Great CS program |
This. My DS wanted to go to a LAC, but wanted CS more, so chose a small engineering school instead. It's been great. |
+1 T20 in various rankings, not just usnwr. Great value for money. |
