Cornerstone LGBT friendly?

Anyone know if Cornerstone in Bowie is a gay affirming church?

Thanks,

From part 2 of this sermon I'm guessing no.

Surprised this was even asked. Cornerstone is a known conservative protestant church and easy to check out without asking on a discussion board.

I wonder if OP already knew the answer.

Not sure if they're affiliated, but the Cornerstone in Leesburg is not LGBTQ+ friendly.

I definitely did not. How was I supposed to know that?

op is a troll- this forum is troll central. It’s an unusable troll fest masquerading as a religion forum. It’s also scary that the trolls think that their transparent, ridiculous posts are anything but bait and trashy attempts to start an unproductive and unnecessary online fight about religion.

I am not a troll!! Omg!!! Ask Jeff!!

I do not do religion, at all, so I was not familiar with Cornerstone, and trying to figure out if a potential friend would be safe for me as a queer person. Googling it didn’t really help me because there was no clear “we hate gays” post. I appreciate PP digging up those you tube links for me.

Don't worry about it. It's just someone calling everyone a troll.

I’m sure they would be friendly to you, but they will not affirm your sexual preference.

These churches are getting really good at hiding their beliefs. They can get money out of you for a few weeks until the next anti-gay sermon comes along and shocks you.

Always click on the "what we believe" link and read carefully.

So how are they “hiding their beliefs”, exactly?

If it’s a Protestant non-denominational evangelical church, chances are pretty high it’s anti-LGTBQ.

True, as unfortunately, that's what "evangelical" has come to mean these days.

Cornerstone is not really "friendly" in any sense of the word.
