Why is Naomi Biden with Jill in Africa?

Anonymous
First lady Jill Biden, on a five-day, two-nation trip to Africa with granddaughter Naomi, told The Associated Press on Friday that President Joe Biden intends to run for president again.

After two days in Namibia, the first lady touched down in Kenya earlier Friday where she was again welcomed with dancing and smiles for the second leg of her trip. Her 29-year-old granddaughter Naomi, who last year was married at the White House, helped hold down her grandmother's dress as a windy day greeted them on the tarmac. Two small girls in pink dresses gave them flowers alongside Kenya's first lady Rachel Ruto.

Jill Biden on Thursday defended bringing granddaughter Naomi Biden on a taxpayer funded trip to Africa, noting that other presidents and first ladies have brought family members on foreign trips.

'It's so great for me to be able to bring a member of the family. I think it's a tradition, or, actually that we've seen other families from first families, bring members of their family to just see the rest of the world and just experience the world,' she said during a stop in Namibia.

Naomi Biden is the first family's oldest grandchild and lives in the White House. She had her wedding to Peter Neal on the South Lawn in November.

So, Naomi and her husband still live in the WH.

Yes, the Clintons, Obamas, and Trumps sometimes included their children on taxpayer funded trips. Biden has his granddaughter and her husband living in the WH and the granddaughter is accompanying her grandmother on taxpayer funded trips.

What extra expense is incurred by her living in the WH? It’s huge and would just be empty, unused space if not.

No extra expense for the taxpayer. The First Family pays for this.

Dp- the first family pays for their own living expenses in the White House. It’s always been that way.

Though the White House comes with its own chef—which comes with the residence—presidents and their families must pay for their own food.

ok, The Bidens pay for their groceries, but not the storage and preparation.

The Bidens pay for their own dry cleaning and buy their clothing.

Whenever a president holds a private party in the White House, they are responsible for paying the hourly costs for waiters and cleanup crews. This aspect of the festivities is not covered by taxpayers. All other expenses are paid by taxpayers.

When other heads of state or government visit the United States, there’s an expectation that the president of the United States will give them a gift. But according to Jennifer Capps, curator and historian at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site in Indianapolis, presidents must pay for these gifts out of pocket.

When a president goes on vacation, they have to foot the bill for the hotel or rental house where they stay with their family, Vigilante explains. The exception to this is Camp David, which is covered, as are the costs of security and travel to and from the vacation. (That’s why wealthy “friends” (donors) let presidents and their families stay at their fancy homes for vacations.

Most households need certain things to function, like toilet paper, toothpaste, and garbage bags. And while the house itself—that would be the White House—is a perk of being president, the stuff inside is paid for out of pocket, according to the Reeves Law Group.

The president is permitted a $100,000 stipend to redecorate parts of the White House, anything beyond that is something they have to pay for themselves.

So Naomi and Peter live rent free, pay no utility bills, parking expenses, security costs, etc. They pay nothing for home maintenance, upkeep, home insurance, grass cutting and lawn maintenance. They pay for dry cleaning, do they do their own laundry, or does the WH staff do their laundry and clean their bedding? Does the WH custodial and janitorial staff clean their living quarters? Yes, of course.

Get back to me when she’s in charge of negotiating with hostile countries, profiting on secret deals that include killing innocent people, on the government’s payroll and doesn’t have clearance.

Then why can’t homeless live in the empty rooms?

Maybe everyone who has an empty room in their house should be made to have a homeless person live there?

Taxpayers pay for their own homes, as well as the White House. Taxpayers should not have to pay everyone’s expenses and open their homes to homeless people. But, if taxpayers are paying for the WH, and the unused, empty rooms are going to waste, why waste the rooms? Why should only Naomi and her husband get a place to live?

Dp- ok so let’s go down this rabbit hole for a second. You want tax payers to pay for the background checks and security clearances for a bunch of random homeless people to live at the White House, because …. Taxes?

The theory is Naomi and Pete live there because the many rooms are going to waste. Why waste the housing? Also: “random homeless people” There are many unhoused families who are in great need. We don’t need to get random homeless people with substance abuse problems to live in the WH. There are millions of decent, safe, and desperate families with kids who would be no security threat.

I suppose it’s really white privilege in action you are defending here.

What about Dreamers who live in our neighborhoods? Are they a security threat to the Bidens?

It doesn’t matter how nice any of them are. You are the one talking about wasting tax dollars. Stay on topic.
Do you know how much it costs to put one person through clearance?
I’ll be honest, I don’t know the exact dollar amount, but I’m confident it well exceeds the cost of Naomi Biden’s toilet paper.

Naomi pays for her own toilet paper. But we pay for her rent. And when one of her friends visits her- we pay for their security screening.

Please post where her friends have visited her.
Also post how much “rent” is being paid by tax payers for Naomi Biden.

I can't believe we are discussing this. After all, it is not like Biden is giving her a white house job for which she has no qualifications.

Making insane unsupported outlandish arguments is their exhausting way to keep you looking the other direction.
“Make the White House a billion dollar homeless shelter to p’own the libz!”
