I watched 3 men punching him in the head before he grabbed the axe. Looked like self defense

That was not self defense. For crying out loud. They shouldn’t have been hitting him, and it was 3 against 1, but it wasn’t a serious fight with injuries. It seemed like he waited until they finished flexing, then came back at them with a hatchet he kept in his backpack. I think pretty much everyone there had the wrong response, from the guys who started the fight, to axe man, to the people standing around laughing and taking videos. I’m so glad it didn’t escalate further and that no one was physically hurt.

None of those folks had the sense to get out of there! Guys in the building with an axe and people are standing around watching him and filming him. They have literally no self preservation instincts at all!
