I have started and stopped:
Book Lovers Remarkably Bright Creatures I like popular fiction, but not fantasy. No WW2, child endangerment, trauma or rape. Recent favorites include lessons in chemistry (amazing!!!!) Rules of civility Thank you! |

A Fall of Marigolds by Susan Meissner
The House in the Cerulean Sea The Guncle The Scent Keeper On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins (actually most of hers are good) |
|
I LOVED the audio version of Daisy Jones and The Six! They used different actors for each character. It was great!

| The Dutch House by Ann Patchett, read by Tom Hanks -- great story about families and especially about siblings |
| Started Violetta So far so good |
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by the same author was also a good audiobook. |
+1 |
| Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty |
| Nothing to See Here by Kevin Wilson. Audio version was great. |
| The House in the Cerulean Sea...it didn't grab me at first but I'm so glad I stuck with it. It's a delightful book to listen to, so funny and heartwarming. |
+1 Also, if you haven’t read Educated yet, it’s great on audio! |
I love this author/narrator combo — more that I like the book itself. |
boring story and tom needs to stick to acting. His inflections were annoying |
I love Ann Patchett but not sure she's good for someone in a reading rut since not too much happens (unless you're into family sagas). Try These Precious Days from Ann Patchett instead, short stories and some that I really loved. |
Enjoyed this too but doesn’t it count as fantasy? Rose Code |
