Why is Northeastern (NEU) so popular with both parents and students these days?

I have nothing against NEU. I know some great kids who go there, and I tried to get my daughter to look at it too.

This is a College and University DISCUSSION board.
Tell me booster, why is it that we can have a Discussion for every other college in the USA and weigh both the merits and the cons of those universities, but for NEU, any dissent is labeled by you as hate?

I have nothing against NEU. I know some great kids who go there, and I tried to get my daughter to look at it too.

Yes, NEU is popular with parents and students- in 2024- and will continue to be so. Will it ever be T25? No. But solidly in the T75 (out of thousands of colleges) is fine enough.

Let's stop bickering and just state the facts, NEU is now in the same tier as Cornell, Brown, Vanderbilt, Duke, etc. their lower acceptance rate however arguably makes them a contender for top 5.
