Anyone can win between those teams, I agree, just a shame that the tie breakers yielded a result that put Hero’s in at the 4th seed which is ridiculous. Also adds more strength to the argument to get rid of the truly weak teams and to go back to having divisions.

Hero’s and Coppermine are hands down the best 2 teams. It is a shame that they have to knock each other out in the semis. Pride played 1 team in the top 8. They should not have the 2nd seat.

You’ll never have true parity, but I think most reasonable people would agree that Hero’s is the obvious second seed. They played a very tough schedule and lost by the thinest of margins to Coppermine and beat Pride who has the same record, far easier schedule and lost to Hero’s.

There are rules and a tie breaking process to be followed. A reasonable person knowledgeable of the rules and processes could not possibly agree that Hero’s is the obvious second seed. I would agree Hero’s is the second best team, but unfortunately that is not how the tournament seedings are determined.

My biggest issue is with the difference in schedules that Pride and Hero’s play. Hero’s played just about the toughest schedule you could play; Pride did not really play anyone except Hero’s whom they lost to. Get rid of the truly weak teams and Pride would not have all the W’s they have. Agree, that Hero’s is the stronger team.

Fair post. Just too bad the two best teams will play in the second round. Winner of that game wins it all.

Pride is a very good team. They did not make their schedule but they absolutely dominated it. I predict a great championship game between Coppermine and Pride.

Ok folks, the Hero’s love fest was fun while it lasted. Coppermine takes the win again.

I know, right! I think it’s insulting that NGLL even requires Coppermine to play quarter and semi final playoff games. They should just get a bye into the finals. Next thing you know people on this message board will start to cast doubt on the Copperplex being the best lacrosse facility of the 21st century. Long live Coppermine!!!!

As a mom of a HS player, this thread raises a lot of red flags. Winning record of MS teams does not matter. What matters is skill development, conditioning improvement and not getting hurt. (And hope she grows so she is not undersized.). Also do all the clinics with the HS team you want your daughter to have a shot at. HS and HS club will change the landscape.

Good luck!

Anyone going to mention that M&D was in a must win game to get a seed and somehow, after going down 2-6 in CCLax, suddenly refs started giving YCs to CCLax and M&D someway won 7-6?

Red flags? I think the overwhelming majority of people on here understand the health, club and recruiting issues that have been written about ad nauseam on this thread - just reread the last 169 pages. Playoffs are here so people are rightly talking about those games. Not sure what you mean by red flags though.

Apparently, nobody cares.

I don't think CC Lax needs any help in the yellow card department they earn them in their own right. If only that stat was tracked on the Tourney machine site.
