FWIW, we will probably move to Crestwood or 16th St Heights for it's proximity to Walter Reed and DCI when our kids get older. We are at a feeder and DCI is FAR.
Crestwood would love to have you! Lots of families with kids in DCI feeders here. It's been a wonderful place for my family. Nice yards, easy access to Rock Creek, and friendly neighbors. I would love nothing more than to be wrong about young families no longer moving here.
I'm highly interested in Crestwood for this reason. Which charters? LAMB here.
Lots of LAMB families here. Ask around at school. Or take a walk on a nice weekend day and ask some families you see playing outside.
This is great to hear. There's only two LAMB families that I know in my neighborhood- Petworth. Are the LAMB families in younger grades? We'll be in K next year.
LAMB family here just on the edge of 16th St. Heights and Petworth, technically in 16th St. Heights (West is our inbound, currently zoned for Deal). Our daughter is going into 1st next year, younger daughter starting in Preschool. We are moving from the SD campus to the MO campus next year (yeah for the commute!). I don't know of many LAMB families in 16th St. heights, but do know of a few in Crestwood. We feel so fortunate to be so close to DCI and are firmly planted in our home for the duration. FWIW, I think homes in my neighborhood are slightly less pricey than in Crestwood, but not by much.
