| anyone been on one? We have three kids, 2,4,6 looking for a low stress, "easy" vacation. |

We went last summer. DD had a terrific time. As you would expect, Disney thinks of everything. Example - I'm a single mom of a 5-year old girl, and our dinner tablemates were two other single parents and two other 5-year old girls, so DD had ready-made friends.
The cruise has a full program at the kids' clubs, so the kids can do as much or as little of that as they want. You go to different restaurants each night, and your group of servers go with you, so they can continue to get to know your kids and what they like. One of the biggest advantages, which you don't necessarily realize until and unless you've been in the parks, is the easy access to the characters. They appear in the atrium and various other places throughout the day. Lines are usually short, and the kids get lots of face time with them. The live shows are great, too. DD still talks about the Toy Story stage show every single day. I have to say that while DD had a great time, there was not a minute I wasn't stressed. Because I'm single, I had to take care of the passports and the luggage and the excursion logistics and everything else all by myself, but that's just the way it is. We only went on a 4-night cruise, and because we did big excursions on the first two-days, that really left only one day at sea. I would consider a longer cruise next time. And DD didn't really want to be in the kids' club all day; she wanted to be with me at the Mickey pool and the Goofy pool. So, I was exhausted, but she was over the moon with excitement, which is the whole point, I guess! Enjoy. |
If you find that your kids want to spend at least some time at the Kids Club then you and DH can head to the adults pool or the spa for a bit.
