Haven't been to McDonald's since December 2023

We don't go on long car rides. We fly, and bring a bunch of snacks onto the plane. Dh and I are both foodies, so we're more likely to make a milkshake or fries at home. I don't understand your point about "how people ... move ..." Why would moving houses necessitate going to McDonalds?

DP but there are certain situations where your family needs to eat immediately, you don't have access to a kitchen, and there's very little open or nearby. Like if you spent the day moving and it's 7:30 and you can't cook because there's no food in the house and you need to eat now, not in 40 minutes when a pizza shows up. The thing about McDonald's is that it's incredibly fast-- you can be eating within a few minutes of placing your order.

Okay, that would never happen to us. Firstly, we are city people. There's no such thing as "very little open or nearby" in places we live or go. Secondly, if we were moving we would place an Instacart order to be delivered within an hour of us arriving at the new house. Thirdly, since we have kids, DH or I always have some snacks with us. Even though our kids are in upper elementary it's just habit at this point. Today while I was out there was dried mango and mixed nuts in my bag. If you operate as if fast food is not an option you'll find other solutions.

NP, and I really, really hope I don't know you, or your husband. Good GOd.

We're just city people. We stick to cities, both to live in and to visit.

I am a "city person" too. It's not your address that makes you so unbearable.

I walked out before ordering.

McDonald's is probably 100x more palatable via drive-thru so you don't see how gross the clientele and workers are.

You are SO much better than them, PP

I wasn’t raised on it, so I have no nostalgic memories. It has a particular smell that I don’t like. Once in a blue moon I’ll get a hot fudge sundae. There’s always somewhere else to eat on the road.

The CAVA kids meal is $6.50 and chick fil a’s nuggets are real meat not paper mache why would I go to McDonald’s?

Anyways I do not eat at McDonald’s, Wendy’s Burger King or Subway. I will however go to Burger King just for a Hershey pie or McDonalds just for ice cream but now we go to yogitopi which is one of the cheapest in terms of frozen yogurt. But food from McDonald’s?, decades ago.

You don't have to believe me. Do your own research. It's all there.

This! + I’d rather not eat fries made from potatoes off Bill Gates’ farms

All fast food places have that peculiar smell. A combination of deep frying and bleach?

The last time I ate that vile trash was in May of 2012.

Only visit McDonald when we see family in the UK. The UK McDonalds still make the delicious fried apple pie. They are all baked in the US.

I’ve never eaten at McDonald’s or any of those places. I was a picky eater growing up so I never ordered anything even when family or school friends went. And I’ve never had a desire. I’ve had sodas when I’ve gone with friends but that’s it.

20+ years. Thank you, post partum autoimmune food weirdness.

I only miss fast food on road trips though.
