Project 2025 if Trump were to win

Just more left wing mass hysteria. There will be lawsuits out the behind to block much of it. If Dems control a chamber in Congress,.it'll make it much harder. States will refuse to comply. By the time a thing even moves an inch, Trump will already be out of office anyway.

So much hysterical nonsense.

This is an embarrassing post.
The point of project 2025 and the goal of its enablers is to concentrate the power of the federal government into the executive branch. When there aren’t three equal branches of government, there isn’t protection.

And there will be never ending lawsuits to block it. By the time anything could remotely happen Trump will be out of office.

Mass hysteria. Just like during Trump's first term.

And, it turned out not to be hysteria at all, especially when the Jan 6th right wing tried to interrupt a democratic election.

Correct. January 6th is but a promise of the feast to come if the GOP gets in office.

There wasn’t “mass hysteria” during Trump’s first term.

Wow, the delusions and gaslighting are strong with this one. “Concentration camps!!” is just one utterly absurd, hysterical phrase that comes to mind. Liberals absolutely lost their minds, haven’t stopped, and will no doubt become apoplectic if Trump wins again. At this point, it’s all just white noise.

No, that's just garbage that LWNJs peddle to scare people. You just look ridiculous doing that.

Best talk to Trump about his messaging strategy then.

You mean this messaging? Sounds fine to me.

The Trump campaign has said repeatedly that it alone is responsible for assembling a policy platform and staffing for a future administration. In response to various news articles about how conservatives are preparing for a second Trump term, campaign advisers Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita said in a memo late last year: “Despite our being crystal clear, some ‘allies’ haven’t gotten the hint, and the media, in their anti-Trump zeal, has been all-too-willing to continue using anonymous sourcing and speculation about a second Trump administration in an effort to prevent a second Trump administration.”

https://www.politico.com/news/2024/02/20/dona...nationalism-00142086

This is kinda sad. It's not anonymous sourcing - the plan was on the Heritage website till recently. And it is laughable to think that Trump et al would think of Heritage as an ally in quote marks.

Project 2025 is neither anonymous nor speculative - it is very clear on rolling back rights for the vast majority of Americans. And that goal is in keeping with Trump's vow to be a dictator only on day 1.

DP. I went to the Project 25 website and read through a lot of it. I did not get to the part about what you are referring to. Which rights will be rolled back? Can you cite specifics to support your claim?

A two second Google search. Are you stupid? Dump MAGA Cult member?

Read below if you can read. My guess is your cognitive reading skills were never a strong suit. We live in the United States not MAGADonia or any other authoritarian dictatorship.

"Bucks County Beacon" is your source?? And you're calling others stupid?
DP

DP.

Based on that article, Buck County Beacon is doing great journalism. They go into the people behind Project 2025 and their extremism, as documented online and in video. These people are proud of their extremism.

LOL.
Bucks County Beacon......Nah, they don't have an agenda..........

"About us:"
"The Bucks County Beacon is an independent media outlet that offers news, analysis, and opinion from a progressive perspective. We also report the stories that other local media outlets can’t or don’t cover, especially the growing threat of right-wing extremism to our schools, government, and democracy."

It's a legit concern for those of us who care about our community.

And left-wing insanity is just as legitimate a concern for the rest of us - who care about our country.

Except that we are trying to talk to you about plans that have been outlined by the right-wing Trump and his supporters while you are off chasing boogeymen made up by the same RWNJs to distract you. Wake up. don't be such a fool.

Except that, as has been pointed out multiple times, Trump is not involved with Project 2025, nor has he endorsed it in any way. In fact, his camp has firmly distanced themselves from it and its authors. But do continue spreading misinformation! Also, are you the dolt who actually quoted from a Reddit post a few days ago, using misinformation to fearmonger? Do better. Don't be such a fool.

There are certainly fools on this thread; they’re all voting Republican.

Republicans are always eager to pretend that the worst excesses of their party have naught to do with them! no, sir! they don’t support that kind of thing and neither does Emperor Trump! no, sir! It has been patiently explained to you how Trump already created a ton of stuff in line with what these same groups did, hired people from these think tanks and has expressed support verbally for several of the ideas contained within Project 2025. The GOP plans to destroy the country as we know and install a dictatorship.

You can keep playing to the contrary, but just like the fey claims that “Republicans really hate the new Arizona abortion ban!” are proven to be horse crap, so too are your claims that Trump wouldn’t enact Project 2025. Of course he would. You’re either a liar or a simpleton. Your choice.

Your post makes it clear we’re dealing with both liars AND simpletons, a dangerous combination.

Republicans toggle back and forth between excitement at what Project 2025 promises and claiming that it will never happen despite the entire party apparatus gearing up for it.

Sorry. This doesn’t work anymore. The Trumps have been very clear about their attitudes and intentions. No one needs to trot out a cite to prove anything. Trump intends to do whatever it takes to serve himself and his family.

You can pretend to yourself that it’s not true or that it won’t affect you, but it most certainly will. Read a little history on the fate of others who have supported autocrats. You’ll only be safe until you’re not.

Hold them to account for criminal behavior?
By all means.
But you’re gonna have to find some crimes first.

Interesting NYT podcast on Trump’s plans.

Top line: Trump wants to get rid of all the guardrails so he can do whatever he wants. He’s happy to go along with the policy desires of his enablers as long as everyone is loyal to him.

I increasingly believe this election will be a referendum on whether anything matters anymore. There's no rational case for Trump, but there's a loud contingent on the left that just wants to burn it down. Combine that with low information voters and Republicans circling the wagons around their guy, and you have the outlines of a calamity.
Hopefully people wake up.
