What is the first thing you notice when you see this picture of the Yale Statistics Dept.

For some reason, the Jewish dominance in the sciences seems to have gone away. It started to disappear in the 70s. Not sure why. Guess they assimilated into the main stream culture.

I think, actually, that a lot of that is a function of putting tall people in the back and shorter people of front.

Aren't all the Jews entertainment lawyers or agents out in L.A.?

I also wondered whether he sought out front and center - i.e., he likes being in the spotlight?

I then noticed he is virtually surrounded by girls.

I then thought he might be gay?

But he isn't dressed spiffy enought to be gay, right?

So is he the A personality or the mascot?

I think he's cute.

That's basically my thought process. Circular thinker, I guess, which is why I bombed by Statistics class in college. LOL.

Given that it's a posed photo, it means he's short. Duh!

Isn't it because Jews are typically more verbal and articulate and not so much with Asians because of the culture and they usually haven't been in the US for many generations? So the Jews migrate to other fields and Asians stay in the sciences, where quant prowess seems to matter more.

The emerging picture is that statiscally speaking, statisticians are all pretty ugly.

Yep. Now there are more normal looking people in STEM fields. But they usually aren't as smart, or even really smart, as the fug ones.
