That is not even close to true. If loudon is so great why are the best 6A teams in Fairfax and Arlington. You sound ridiculous

It’s just funny to see how many True coaches take turns to post here. “True is the best choice for mid players, we will develop them into college (bottom D3 players) because we have great fields and paid coaches!”

From time to time a D1 parent or a top 30 team parent inject some sense into the postings.

I seriously doubt that there are any True coaches on this thread as all of the posters have readily admitted that True is a B team. BTW I think this is a great thread as I have a 28 on a top team and we are not happy with the team and don’t see anywhere to go.

Would you mind sharing which team and why you’re unhappy?
I have a 2028 who wants to look at options for summer tryouts and would be interested to know.

What are you referring to? Clearly you have zero experience with the program. It’s not perfect but they have all paid coaches who have been with the teams for multiple seasons. You could argue they are stretched thin during spring bc most if not all coach at area high schools as well. I don’t think you’d be disappointed to move to the program at the 28 level however.

It's you who sounds like a newcomer. True tried and had teams in DC, Moco and VA near the beltway. They were trying to throw clinics and build something. Unfortunately, due to high turnover and lack of real organization, all of that went away. They are no longer in the immediate dmv area. Because they aren't in the immediate dmv area, there are fewer choices and kids are stuck on 25-30 pp rosters at DCE, NL and ML. Just go to their website and look at what they used to offer. They've never taken down the teams but have disabled the links.

True NOVA practices in Falls Church and Arlington. How is that not in the "immediately dmv area," true dc collapsed but that was an outside the beltway team in MOCO. But otherwise your post is not correct.

I also don't see how it's True's responsibility to address DCE, ML and NL's bloated rosters.

I think what’s going on here is PP is not familiar with the NOVA lacrosse scene. I bet he’s a MOCO resident.

For the group- True NOVA is a thriving B-level club that has a fully subscribed team at every age group and two teams at most levels. They have good coaching and great fields centrally located in Arlington and falls church.

The problem since they started 3 years ago is that the Majors have locked up almost all of the elite talent and competitive parents have shied away from taking their kid to True.

With the loss of VLC at 28 there is not enough room for all of the almost elites so a kid who would have been a Starter on VLC can’t get field time on ml, NL or DCE.

I think your last 2 paragraph are more of a 2028 and older issue than younger one for True NOVA with their youth teams having more talent and being more competitive. True separates out the HS division and youth division and they could to different tournaments.

As a True parent I can truthly state that in the beginning the summer tournaments were very much the low end of the spectrum. But each year they've ladders up and playing in more competitive tournaments. I view it as a start up. Google didn't start right off the bat being competitive with Microsoft but eventually dominated them. Maybe a poor analogy but True playing in super high level tournaments right off the bat and getting crushed 20-0 wouldn't be a good for the team, the players, or the program. There is a very good chance one of my son's teams will be playing in the Elite division next year for HOCO. Not sure how they'll do but it is a long way from where the team started back in the summer of 2021.

That is not even close to true. If loudon is so great why are the best 6A teams in Fairfax and Arlington. You sound ridiculous

You are clueless. The best teams in VA are PVI and Riverside and they are Loudoun teams. pVI has maybe one Fairfax based player

That's because the best players Fairfax go to Prep, Landon, Gonzaga, and St Johns.

Also, Robinson is the best 6a public.

Maybe one or two FFx players each year v the entire team at PVI and Riverside is better than Robinson with 1/3 the students. Freedom is the only Loudoun 6a

What are you talking about 1-2 each year? Look at the rosters of those Private Schools. There are Fairfax county kids peppered all over them.

What a dumb comment. Try 1-2 players from the top lax school districts in FFx county end up going to those private schools mentioned.

I can think of 12 off the top of my head but PVI (several), Riverside (3), Champe, Freedom, Dominion, Stone Bridge are all in Loudoun last time I checked. Multiple players that will be playing in the tournament
