Does anyone else feel incredibly frustrated that the media is doing my a terrible job explaining why accepting help from Russia was bad? Specifically, they keep laughing off the old excuse for the Trump Tower meeting - adoptions. What this explanation says to me is that the Russians wanted to discuss relief from the Magnitsky human rights sanctions in exchange for dirt on Clinton. Banning adoptions is how they retaliated against us after we passed the Magnitsky Act.
It’s the quid pro quo, stupid!!!! It’s not like they hired a consultant and paid a fee for this info, but rather it’s the fact that these traitors sold out America’s foreign policy in exchange for help on a campaign. Why can’t the media make that point and help people see that this could truly affect things? |

Because it’s illegal. Full stop. No matter how many false alanlogies you make to what Hillary did, which was different and legal, it does not make the Trump Tower meeting any less illegal. |

It will. And I can't wait. I just don't think it's what you think it is. Ask yourself this. If Joseph Misfud is a Russian asset, why are his friends saying he's a Western asset? Why was he let into this country in February to speak at an event in conjunction with the State Dept. Why isn't he under arrest? Even more interesting is the footnote in FISA application after being interviewed by the FBI that stated the FBI is asked for a waiver from FOIA to protect their source. Why are we protecting Misfud? In fact, This is a big spying operation - using govt. assets (informants. i.e spies ) to interact with the Trump Team to pull information out about alleged collusion with Russians. Problem is the information that was being pushed INTO the Trump team is the same information they were trying to get out. |

It is illegal for a campaign to receive a contribution or something of value from a foreign individual or entity. Here’s what the FEC says: https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/candidate-taking-receipts/who-can-and-cant-contribute/ Court have clearly stated information (like opposition research) is something of value. This should be obvious. A campaign would and campaigns do pay big bucks for people to conduct opposition research. You can donate money used for oppo research. Or, you can cut out the middleman, and just give him the research. Don Jr. went to the Trump Tower meeting. He know it was with a foreign national, with ties to a foreign government. And now Trump says he went with the purpose of getting oppo research from a foreign government. Even if he got nothing (which is not a given, because of the timing of Wikileaks), Don Jr, attempted to violate campaign finance law. The attempt does not have to be successful to be illegal. Just like someone does not have to die for you to be charged with attempted murder. Game, set, match. Mueller. HRC/the Steele Dossier was different because it was paid for at fair market value. And because Steele was aCIA asset. But even if the dossier was also illegal, it does not make Don Jr (and Kushner and Manafort) innocent. It just means Hillary was guilty too. |

Because he has no impulse control. And thinks he knows better than his lawyers. And after years of getting away with shit, thinks he will get away with this. He is also trying this in the court of public opinion. He thinks that if he can convince the MAGAtts he was done wrong, his actual guilt or innocence is irrelevant. If Rs keep control of the House at Midterms, he might be right, since they show no desire to do their constitutional job and serve as a check. |

It does, yes. But when Trump preemptively tweets these things it also normalizes it for his base. They become numb to it and take his word as truth. To people with brains, Trump’s tweets seem like self incrimination. To his Trumpkins these tweets are the word of God. |

His base has shrunk by 10% since 2016. He can have 100% support from his base, but eventually, if it is only 15% of the total electorate, then where does that leave him? |
