So I posted earlier about this, but I have a pretty dense scar in my uterus (presumably from a C section), now trying for #2 in my 40s and the scar was found and dr says it needs to be removed to give my remaining fertility (if any) a shot. Tried to do it in office but he wasn't able and now we move to the OR. I met with the surgeon, and he said it would be 3-4 months before I can try to get pregnant again- I have to be on estrogen and progesterone at least two months, and go in for repeat cutting of any new scar tissue every 2-3 weeks for a couple of months. Thus, a few months for my womb to heal. At my age, every month counts, so I was a bit dismayed. Has anyone had a similar procedure as mine and how was your recovery? Thanks in advance-

You have Ashermans? If so, get a couple of consults. I don’t have it but thought I did and saw the best surgeon I could find for a hysterscopy after multiple consults.
I haven't been told so but based on what I read I guess so. My cycles are super light and short. PP 19:33 who was your surgeon if you don't mind me asking?
Keith Isaacson in Boston. I got in to see him quickly and it was a quick flight up from DC - took the train from the airport to the hospital, then train back to airport and flew home same day. He doesnt use anesthesia so he can tell you what he is seeing (and doing) in real time.. He is an expert om ashermans. .
Thank you
+1 for Keith Isaacson. 2/3 of my uterus was scarred shut after a d&c. It wasn't immediate, but I did get pregnant after being treated by him. Many docs will say they can fix it, but you really do need a specialist. Good luck!
