The Hamptons is changing...

"The Hamptons is changing..."

What does that mean? I know the value of homes have gone static there (never really regained post-recession) especially with millenials wanting an urban lifestyle.

It means that this particular Real Housewife can no longer afford her lifestyle. Nothing more.

HA this. It means she needs money. $1million in the Catskills will get you something significantly nicer than $6million in sag harbor. Girl is down and ouuuutttt. I don’t beleive for a second she would do this if she was not in dire financial straits.

Interesting. Yeah, I thought her bathrooms were rather pitiful for $6 million but then again I can't afford a $6 million house either.

Didn't she get a hefty divorce settlement?

You mean the divorce from 10 years ago? Doubt it.

Add to the fact that she probably had 7 years of child support and even less of alimony (hence her 2016 re-marriage and quickie divorce).

true. imagine the embarrassment of a foreclosure. I'm sure the taxes are high and upkeep expensive.

My friend lives in San harbor. Has all her life. They spend as much time as possible upstate too.

Because the Hamptons pretty much suck now. There's one road, the people are horrible and so is the traffic.

Hamptons has changed a lot. I spent 11 summers in a row in Hamptons every weekend from Memorial Day to Labor Day and last two weeks of July.

They killed the big clubs, share houses, fun beaches, then old money moved on and cheesy wannabes moved in. Puff Daddy was the first along with MTV beach house.

I straddled the line between Bordy Barn/Neptune drunken debauchry and old money. I once went to a party at Christina Lawford house and John Kennedy Junior was there as well as a real Rockerfella. Went to Hampton Classic back in day saw Paul Newman and tons of celebs.
I met in my random list of celebs, Fabio, girl who played John Stamos wife in full house (bitchy) Steven Spielberg who had a place on my block, snoop dog, Tara Banks, Susan Luchi, Bud Bundi (jerk), Matt Dylan and Harrission Ford. So random and fun. I once threw a house part at my summer place for 300 people and went to a 3,000 person house party once

Not a lot of folks have second homes there are less fun party share houses the younger folks have been priced out of Hamptons and DWIs and smartphones cut back on fun.

Ron Perlman is last guy still throwing blow out parties. Back in 1980s he threw a party for his daughters sweet 16 in his backyard that cost one million. His parties today are even better

^Never seen so many celebrity names spelled incorrectly. Wowza.

She's only had the house for 5 years? Guess she really can't afford it.

Most are not real celebs. If I met them not a real celeb and Paul Newman was in the VIP area and I was outside with Tara Banks who was not enough of a VIP to get in. Jennifer Grey banged my roommate the 1990s when she was no longer famous. We had all times of encounters back then with fake famous.

The kid from Stand by Me was a real jerk. Mike Tyson a nut. Bought a Ferrari on his Amex card the week he was on vacation out there and turned it back in as used at end of week.

Evander Hollyfield does not drink but nice guy. Also met Lee Majors, Pat Riley, Quinten Tarritino. Dated a girl who was on cover of Cosmo and a few mags when she was 19 or 20 but by time I dated her she was 28 and washed up. Kelly Rippa is a bitch who is anorexic but drinks like a fish

Steven Spielberg in 1980s I recall had a Cadillac Alante Convertibe with license plate ET.

I love Ron Perlman! I bet his parties are unreal. How do I get an invite to that?

Ouch, yeah she's definitely broke - https://pagesix.com/2018/07/12/luann-de-lesseps-accused-of-stealing-from-her-own-children/

She got the family’s Bridgehampton, NY, mansion in the split — but was supposed to set up a trust for their two children, Victoria and Noel, that would be funded with half the interest in the home.

Except she never did, according to the new Suffolk County Supreme Court suit.

Instead, she sold the Bridgehampton home for $8 million in 2014 and bought a $3.1 million property in Sag Harbor.

Now she’s “threatened” to either sell or heavily mortgage the Sag Harbor house “so that she may purchase, for herself, a luxury home in upstate New York,” according to court papers.

The adult children and their dad are asking a judge to block Luann from either offloading or getting a loan on the property.
