Requested from another thread, here is where the students of Blair CAP Class of 2018 are heading...

| Good to see three of the top HBCUs on the list. I know there's been an effort from administrators and current students to identify and recruit interested AA middle school students for the program. |
| Not one to UMBC? |
| They typically have several kids going to Michigan or Wisconsin. Unusual year |
| I was the requester from the other thread, so thank you! |
| Seems like a solid list |
Two to Stanford is very impressive! Great job CAP! |
In addition to the ones going on to HBCU's, 2 black CAP students in this class earned full-ride scholarships to LAC's, and another got a full-tuition scholarship to USC. |
| This list also doesn’t account for other schools the students were admitted to. For example, I know someone on this list who got into an Ivy League school but chose Maryland. |
+1 Donut hole families. |
True. That kid has a parent on the UMD faculty, so 4 years of free tuition was too irresistible to pass up, though I am sure it was hard as hell to say no to Penn. |

Nice to see the design schools on the list - means these kids are taking their CAP learning to the next level. Can't wait to see what they do with it!
Also - wtg URMs - be proud! |
Definitely encouraging to see. My DD is entering CAP in the fall and has a strong interest in pursuing digital animation. Hopefully there will be opportunities for her at Blair. |
Weird to post specifics. I know that family as well... |
| I remember that there was a post on this forum last fall about how CAP students are disadvantaged in admissions but this seems to include a lot of good schools. |
