I posted some time back about John Bolton, Trump's National Security Advisor, who was previously on the board of an anti-Muslim organization. Now Bolton has appointed Fred Fleitz as his chief of staff. Fleitz has been the Vice President of the Center for Security Policy which the SPLC has designated as a hate group and the ADL has condemned for its anti-Muslim extremism.
There are several articles out today describing Fleitz's anti-Muslim positions: http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2018/05/bolton-fred-fleitz-center-security-policy-nsc-chief-of-staff.html

It is outrageous that outspoken bigots such as Bolton and Fleitz are serving at the highest levels of our government. |
I felt the same way about Valerie Jarrett. And I still do about Awan. |
I was about to delete your post because it is completely full of ignorance. But, I'm going to give you a chance to explain yourself. But, if you prove to be as ignorant as it appears, I delete your posts then. At worst, Awan is a criminal. He has never held a policy-making position. He is not known to hold any bigoted views. I am not up to date on on the Jarrett conspiracy theories and nobody has provided any adequate explanations for the Jarrett hatred in the other thread, but please explain why she is just as bad as the Islamophobes in the NSC? |

The only consolation is that Trump's ship is running aground soon enough. |
Opinion is not truth. It's opinion. I think that's what the PP is saying. |
I am not sure what you are referring to opinion. The fact that both Bolton and Fleitz were previously in the leadership of anti-Muslim groups is fact. |
And it’s the bigot’s belief that being prejudiced against Muslims is great. That’s his bigoted opinion. |
Awan was hired - and protected - by people in policy-making positions. If he's a criminal, he appears to have gotten away with it. The question is, will the policy-making individuals be held accountable for their part in this? Were they directly involved or simply over-empathetic victims?
Jarrett's hands are all over the Iran deal, and many folk do not support that deal. We should be allowed to feel that deal was not good for America, but instead, we are called names and accused of being evil, racist, etc. It's an interesting world |
Anti-anything groups are no necessarily racist groups. And whether they are actually 'anti' is an opinion, not a fact. |
Even the ADL is pretty clear that this is a hate group. Just read the group's own material. Of course, since you believe most of the same things, I can understand your reluctance to describe the hate group as a hate group. What I don't understand is why you just don't own your hatred? |
People still take Slpc designations seriously? |
I guess you mean the SPLC, but if you don't like that group, try the ADL. |
Some of us consider the ADL an unreliable source.

There is nuance, i.e that all people of any one religion aren't bad, but there are certainly problematic areas of every religion. And some of these groups are very concerned about the problematic aspects of religion. Some people feel the Brotherhood is a problematic aspect. YMMV |
