Probably, but why don't you ask her? I'm sure she's itching to tell everyone how her baby was made, and just hasn't said anything because no one has asked.

It's either a donor egg or it isn't. At her age, it most likely is. What does confirmation one way or the other matter?

Yes it is. But we are going to pretend it isn't and when people ask about getting pregnant on their own at 45 we will be all Rachel Weisz did it!

personally I am curious. I am pregnant naturally at 45 which is obviously different from 48 but even at 48 pregnancies do happen.

48 in reproductive land is light years older than 45. And do you really know how your friends conceived? Were you in the room? I can tell you that 99% of donor egg couples don't tell a SOUL about how they conceived: not their mothers, their sisters, not even the children themselves.
There are thousands upon thousands of donor IVF cycles done yearly. These babies are all passed off as "miracle conceptions" (and miracles they are, but spontaneous they are not).

She might have done IVF for her first kid with Darren Aronofsky, or had her eggs frozen when younger. Not like either would've been a significant cost for someone with her wealth.

I believe it was either donor eggs or her frozen eggs.

All of the women I know who had babies over age 45 (I know 3) had extreme complications and two of the three kids were born with Down's Syndrome.
