Ya’ll are sleeping in Clara Bow
That sh—- is haunting

This album has zero skips for me. Yes, all 31. Now that we have the other half, stopping at Clara Bow would not have been enough.

They aren’t direct translation from her life. I think she grabs parts and pieces and repurposes moments.
Maybe it’s phrase from a past relationship, but used to convey a totally non related sentiment.
There is way more imaginative story telling than most of you are understanding.

Didn't she tell us in her own words in the intro. her mindset of the album? And telling someone to listen to a TS song and not try to pull it apart for clues would disappoint TS, wouldn't it?

Pull apart for what? To appreciate the artistry. To relate to certain emotions. Sure
To decoder ring her life onto her lyrics?
I don’t think so.
But sure, she’ll take the accolades and money. It’s the price she pays.
But she doesn’t have to unconditionally like it and she’s smart to reap the benefits, cause she can’t control the negatives.

YUP decoder ring for her life!
“I love to communicate through Easter eggs,” says Swift. “I think the best messages are cryptic ones.”

She LOVES her fans guessing about her life…. Or she did until they didn’t support her and Mattie.

I basically grew up with Taylor Swift's music. She's 34 and I'm 33. She's from Nashville and I grew up in Franklin, TN (~30 mins away). I went to several of her shows way back when after her debut album came out. I've been to all the tours. I'm a fan, etc, etc.

But the Easter eggs are getting to be too much to keep up with. I also wish she'd stop singing about high school or relating things back to high school. HS for her has been over for 25 years. It's time to move on.

Nope, I'm 44 and love them b/c I can discuss with my teen... makes for fun conversations.

I guess you don't get the point of "So High School". Also, unless she was 8 at graduation, she did not finish HS 25 years ago lol.

Preteens or younger. Teens don't listen to Taylor.

Wrong! many of the HS girls pulled an all nighter to listen to the double album and either skipped school on Friday or went in late – at least had our school.

In my neighborhood Taylor is a big hit with the elementary age girls and their moms and teachers.

Not much interest in middle school and definitely not in high school.

Eras tour attendance matched. Lots of elementary and then women in their 30s

That matches my experience. I know several coworkers in their 30s who took separately to their daughters to the eras tour shows and counted down to the album release. The daughters are all in elementary school.

Are you saying all the Swifties are a bunch of 9 year old girls? The concerts were sold out and tickets hard to get but nobody goes anymore, right?

Yes, Sold out to 9 year olds and their moms.

I’m a HS teacher and lots of my students went to see her in Philly last year. Seniors, juniors, mostly girls.

+1. There are not enough 9 year olds and their moms to sell out this would your and make it the highest grossing of all time.

My high school daughter and her friends went, and a ton of women in their 20s and 30s who I work with went as well.

+2
My college-aged daughter and all her friends are Swifties. They grew up with her music.

Post Malone looks 100 times better without tattoos on the video. Until you get a glimpse of his gold teeth. Why did he make himself look so awful.
And why is he snarling when he sings in the phone booth?

I don't understand the collab. He's unaesthetic in the video and doesn't add anything to the song since it sounds like all her other songs.

I love this collab. I’ve never even listened to him before, but his voice is delicious in this song.

People are just mad that this isn't a Joe bashing/tea spilling album. Its about her feelings not what actually went down. People don't GAF, they just want the tea.

Yes, the Lover album!!

Lover was about Karlie Kloss.

Nope. It was about Matty. Taylor is as straight as it gets.

I am happy it wasn't. I like Joe. Sucks it didn't work out.

How do Joe and especially Travis listen to this album and don't get jealous?! I love the chill vibe of TTPD so I have been playing it on repeat since the release, and I think I am developing a crush on Matty Healy just by listening to all these sensual lyrics, lol.
Eyes like remedy, scratch your head you fall asleep like a golden retriever, the way you hold me is holy, my wild boy and this wild joy, my bed sheets are ablaze, messy top kiss how I long for our trysts, I lost my twin, all those nights you kept me going I swirled you into all of my poems, everyone we know understands why it's meant to be, I am his lady and having his baby...she literally has a fantasy wedding to this guy at the end of Daddy I Love Him 😳

I don't see how a man who would be ok with their partner releasing this into the world, esp. when the star-crossed lover is still unmarried and actually the one who pulled out, so technically not completely out of the picture and could choose to come back at any moment.

Yes, the Lover album!!

I mean...We thought it was a about a current boyfriend, but songs like Death By A Thousand Cuts would suggest otherwise.

The more I think about it, this album might be Tay's cry out to Matty to man up and come fight for her. She does begin the album with, I Love you, it's ruining my life.

I see it. She has nothing to lose at this point. Is it going to work? Probably not but it's worth a shot.
