The goals of Satan

What does Satan want to do?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/studyingprayer.com/2013/08/11/six-goals-of-satan-that-we-need-to-be-aware-of/amp/

1. He wants to be God.
2. He wants to destroy God.
3. He wants to hinder all the works of God.
4. He wants our willful obedience and worship.
5. He wants to exercise power over us and control us.
6. He wants to destroy us and he wants us to suffer.

He is the prince of this world. He steals. Your self-control, your peace, your soul. Bit by bit. Slowly, he is very patient. Lukewarm Christians are the easiest target for him. That's why Bible teaches us:
"
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet."
Matthew 5:13

"So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth."
Revelation 3:16

"Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons"
1 Timothy 4:1

Body type nor bank account don’t count. It’s about your relationship or lack of with God.

Satan has to have goals now? How 21st Century.

Does he have time targets too?

These have been Satan’s goals since he slithered down the tree to talk to Eve about a piece of fruit.

Did I miss something? Is this the religion forum? The people posting on this thread don’t seem to believe Satan exists.

Throughout the history of Satan, evil has been his identity because he is directly opposite God’s character. God’s holy standard found in the Bible exposes evil. If not relying on its truth, we can easily error:

One error is denying Satan’s existence
Another mistake is fearfully focusing on Satan rather than on Christ Jesus who overcame him
Others outright worship Satan, preferring the darkness of evil rather than light that reveals sin (John 3:19; 2 Corinthians 11:14-15).
Any of these approaches please the devil. He wants us denying, fearing, obeying, or worshiping him. Unless we follow the trustworthy source, the Bible, he’ll deceive us (Ephesians 6:10-11).
History of Satan - Satan’s seduction versus reality
In our scientific, rational age, spiritual beliefs are scorned as myth. Satan, however, doesn’t mind those who rebuff the reality of fallen angels or demons. By masking himself, he can tempt and deceive people without blame. The wise will never forget that Satan and demons, determined to deceive humans, are fighting real battles and wars against heavenly angels.

Satan isn’t worth obsessing over like this. The Bible doesn’t obsess over Satan, Americans seem to though. Many Christian denominations don’t even mention Satan in any regular way, I know mine doesn’t.

However it is thought that the ruin of Satan came from his need to glorify himself above all others. Pride and vanity are not much thought of but really they are the root of many sins.

Satan is real. Satan is discussed 55 times in 49 verses. Satan is the enemy of Christians. He is a formidable enemy. Denying this is denying that the essence of Christianity is to crucify flesh=deny yourself of all pleasures provided by Satan. Also, the Book of Revelation describes the final battle between Satan and Lord of Heaven's Armies with God's ultimate victory=creation of New Earth and New Heaven. Denying this is talking about some other religion, not Christianity.

Satan wants to destroy each and every one of us.

If you don’t think he’s evil and caused the brokenness of our world, you think what did?

Does the original sin and Adam and Eve being cast out of the Garden by Satan’s temptation not prove this?

Religions that speak of God but ignore Satan? I agree God is the center. But how can you acknowledge God but ignore Satan.

The struggle of humans to reach God despite the evil works of Satan and the eventual destruction of Satan by Jesus Christ is the battle Christian people fight everyday.

Satan isn’t ruined yet. He’s all around us, waiting to destroy us and keep us from our Creator.

+1000

And for a prime example of what Satan looks like in real life, see Nicholas Cruz - even his own attorney described him as a "broken human being, devoid of a soul." Evil in human form.

The opposite of love is selfishness. That is the source of all evil.

The opposite of good is evil. God is good and Satan is evil.

Being selfish isn’t evil, it’s a facet of human personality.

Name evil and stand against it.
