Letter from Comcast/Net Neutrality?

Anonymous
I got a letter from Comcast today stating that I can begin paying for "add-on" internet services to increase speeds of specific applications. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and many many other things are listed. It's a la cart. A different price per app, but none more than $2.99 a month. Did anyone else get this?

No, but I bought l**e for when Verizon f**ks me. I expect it any day.

Comcast is so stupid it is mind boggling. Recall that it was Comcast throttling bit torrent that started this net neutrality debate a decade ago.

We haven't received the letter, but I've been waiting for it.

The other day, our Samsung smart TV refused to connect to the wireless router, which renders its "smart" capability - watching Netflix, Amazon video, etc. - completely useless. When I tried to get to Netflix through the Comcast DVR, it was also a no go.

I wasted an hour trying to troubleshoot, but I suspect it was a ploy to get me to call Comcast and subject myself to their sales pitch for upgrade. What I'm thinking instead is that our household doesn't need Comcast as much as we thought.

Yep, if we get something like this, our service will be cancelled.

I don't believe this. I've seen no reporting on this...and Comcast has a deal with Netflix.

If this is true then it's evidence that Ajit Pai acted in bad faith and misrepresented his actions. For this reason alone it should be reversed and Ajit Pai should be investigated.
