Why no 8th Grade Graduation at Pyle

| We transferred here last year and have an 8th grader. I assumed there would be an 8th grade graduation, but haven't heard anything about one. Does Pyle not do a graduation? |

| All middle schools I know have a "promotion" ceremony for 8th graders. It would be weird if your MS doesn't have one. You can call the school and ask. By this time parents should already know about it. |

We received news of the 8th grade graduation plans this week, for a different MCPS middle school, so you might be receiving an announcement very soon. You can call or email next week if you still haven't received anything by then. Also check your spam. |

| Why should any MCPS school have an 8th grade promotion ceremony? This is a waste of time and money for students, parents and teachers. About time we stop having these "rewards" for students for attending school. |
