Stop.

Likely a top 5 team in the area.

GC, visi, SR and BI are better than Potomac.

What team has BI beaten of note that warrants this status?

Well they just beat Potomac. Does that count? And Q the excuses……

By one? That’s your flex? You really think BI is in the same league as SR and GC? Put down the bottle.

Settle down SR or GC parent. No one said BI was taking down your whole house of cards. Playing a great team and coming out on top no matter by how many points is worthy of note.

Reading from this board: They beat SR in the winter league, but that didn't count because it wasn't a full field. Then, they defeated SR in a full-field scrimmage. I am sure that doesn't count either though right? Last time I checked, BI is in the WCAC, as is GC—literally the same league.

Potomac is a great team, and they lost to BI. So, in my book, yes, BI has earned some respect.

More importantly any word in PVI score today?

Surprising that BI beat Potomac. Potomac players must have been having off day or were tired. Bet coach was pissed.

Collegiate 10-8 over PVI.

Do your homework before you try to talk tough. The OP claimed BI was in the same strata as GC, SR and Visi. BI is not in that class. Weak sauce response.

The difference comes down to depth. BI and Potomac lack depth - SR, GC and Visi have girls who sit on the bench who could start at other ISL schools.

I hear what you are saying. If you truly believe that then why are you so angry about it. By being so aggressive it sounds like you are over compensating for something like maybe deep down fear. Does that little team upset you this much they are doing well? It’s ok take a deep breath and calm yourself. It’s going to be ok little one.

Maybe be happy this area has so many talented players.

BI is a very good team. I don't think anyone is questioning that they are not a very good team. I heard they caught Potomac when they were not close to 100% healthy but they won the game, so all credit to them.

Why so defensive? GC and SR are clearly the top teams. Visi, Potomac, BI, SSSAS and SJC are all very good teams, who are able to compete at an extremely high level. All the teams mentioned have outstanding players. Let the girls play, compete and have fun. Isn't that what it is supposed to be all about - great competition, playing a sport they love at an extremely high level with classmates and friends.

Well the good news is for the most part the girls will play each other and the parents can stop living vicariously through them.

No one is 100% healthy. In fact, everyone is going to start getting less healthy as we get further into April. I'm not a BI parent, but I assume they also had some players who weren't 100%.

Can someone explain the math this site is using please. I thought it was # of Ws then maybe AGD but nothing seems to calculate out to make these ranks correct.

PVI has a AGD of -0.28 and a record of 2-5. But is still ranked higher than SSSA who is 5-3 with a AGD of 3.37

Potomac has a 4-2 but AGD of 5 and SSSA has a 5-3 with AGD of 3.37 also a tougher schedule.

Not to mention BI beat Potomac but still ranked 6th with Potomac ranked 2nd.

Teams get credit for other teams' wins and losses. So if you beat someone but they lose to another team - that second team gets some credit. It's pretty confusing!

Strength of Schedule is a key metric.

AGD not so much. Don't get a lot of credit for running up score vs weak teams.

From Lax Numbers Website -

LaxNumbers' ratings are computed mathematically, with no subjective weighting or human determined values. LaxNumbers' algorithm computes an overall average performance rating for teams based upon how well they play against other teams and how good those teams are. A team's overall rating then determines a team's ranking position based on the national, regional, state, and/or sub-state ranking categories a team is placed in. The two main factors in the algorithm are "AGD" or "average goal differential" and "SCHED" or "strength of schedule". AGD is currently calculated by accumulating the goal differential of each game, to a maximum of 10, and divided it by the number of games played. The strength of schedule is computed by averaging the rating of each game opponent. AGD and SCHED are added together to compute a team's rating. A team's overall rating is typically not reflective of the team's best or worst games, but a mathematically computed average performance rating that translates game scores into a numeric representation of team performance.
