American student films her father's arrest by ICE outside her school

So it appears ICE agents are pretending to be police and stalking parents as they drop their kids off at school.

How these boys (they are not "men") go home to their families and pretend to be normal humans absolutely blows my mind.

Romulo Avelica-Gonzalez, an undocumented father of four U.S.-born children, has lived in this country for more than 20 years. On Tuesday, he was dropping his daughters off at school, as he does every morning. He and his wife had already dropped off their 12-year-old daughter and were headed to drop off her 13-year-old sister next when Avelica-Gonzalez was detained by immigration officials a block from his daughter's school in Highland Park.

I guess it is easier going after the non-violent illegal aliens, as opposed to the violent offenders that they claim, as the non-violent ones are easier to catch.

It is extremely sad to break families fro frivolous offences, just because they are undocumented. I cannot imagine the plight of the children seeing their parents arrested. I wonder what the children of these broken families will grow up to be, unless ICE is stopped this human rights violations.

Why do ICE agents want to inflict pain on otherwise law-abiding immigrant families.

The ICE agents are simply MAGA.

The ICE agents are merely following the orders of their heartless President.

It will warm the hearts of many Trump supporters hearing this man's kids weeping in the car. Plus now they will have 4 extra kids added to welfare, since their dad will be gone and unable to support them. MAGA.

As much as I hate Trump for allowing these inhuman tactics, ICE agents have been granted new discretion, and they are misusing their power. May be it makes them feel powerful, but this is heartbreaking for normal people.

They probably have quotas to fill so that Trump can use them as talking points in his next speech of great accomplishments.

How was his status discovered? Was he in the system for a particular reason or where they checking everyone's immigration status at school drop off. There seems to be information missing from the article.

PP, here. Ok, it was the DUI that put him on their radar:

He also has a nearly decade-old DUI conviction, and "apparently a conviction from over 20 years ago related to having bought a car that he did not realize had a registration sticker on it that did not belong on the car," according to MacLean.

Part of the "controversy" here is that this school is a charter school that caters to Latino and Spanish immersion students. People have said that ICE has been recently keeping agents near the school and asking for names and "papers" of parents dropping and picking up kids.

Can we tell a little truth about the "men" who become the most eager ICE enforcement officers?

They are the worst of us. They are attracted like flies to sh!t to positions where they have the facially legal authority to rough people up. They would have gladly been Hitler's most willing executioners. They are found in every PD and low/level LEO organization in the US. They are the worst of the worst of humanity and would be gladly killing vulnerables in Syria if they were there.

They are not worth one undocumented hard-working restaurant worker.

They are doing it because the president has implied they can.

100% troll post.

This is repulsive. This is not what the United States stands for. We are better than this. And, as an aside, it's a waste of taxpayer money.
