I apologize if there's already been a mention of this but I'm a bit aghast.

The only reason I can just ignore this is because Trump is far too cheap to want Mar-A-Lago annexed by eminent domain so it can become a historic landmark or national park. He just won't let anyone, even his country, pay anything less than an extortionist amount for it. Which means that once he leaves, we can put the 'Winter White House' behind us.

As a DC resident I am kind of happy if he is away.
Someone please let him know that keping away kind of reinforces the idea of an illegitimate president, though.

Like when there were 3 popes at one point, and one of them was not in Rome but in France.

If I were a bezos level wealth Potus, I'd have a winter white house on miami beach, a summer white house in bar harbor maine, the dc white house in spring and a fall whitehouse in nyc - perhaps a massive triplex in the plaza hotel.
