I know this is old as hell, but i had the same problem at my place. In my case they came out of our trashcan. Just find the source and cut it off.
Good luck

They could also be acorn grubs. My kids picked up a bunch of acorns last fall and within a couple days, these fat grub worms that looked like large maggots were crawling all over. I thought we were looking for a decomposing rodent until I found he source. The acorns or chestnuts will have pinholes in them.

Was reading trying to figure out where the fee maggots I found today came from. Your chesnut story made it click. My kids brought acorns in. Booom! Definitely found the source.

They are likely fly larvae. Quite harmless, unlike mosquitoes or spiders, which bite.
Go around your house and pick up every last one of them. Get rid of all the flies that may be laying in your potted plants.

Maggots I am quite sure.

OMG this happened to me years ago. I found hundreds of (what I now know are) larvae in my family room. I didn't know what they were and thought maybe someone had tracked in debris from outside (I'm a city gal, and this was in the sticks). Days later, they "hatched" and I had HUNDREDS of flies swarming in my family room. HUNDREDS. It was like a horror movie.

I have these EXACT same bugs in my bathroom they look like they were coming from the bin so I've cleaned it out. I didn't think they were maggots because of how slow they move. They are really creeping me out!

Actually, I have the same thing. I had them at my last apartment and I've been finding them at my new apartment. I've been looking and looking online and this is the best solution I could come up with. House fly larva. Flies will lay eggs and in 24 hours a Maggot or larva will come out. They're pretty harmful when you find them, you squash them and flush them. They shouldn't be too much of a nuisance just try to keep the flies out of your house.

About one year ago, we had company stay with us... the 2nd day we arrive back to the our home and discover about a hundred flies in our guest bathroom!! Needless to say our guest was freaked(very superstitious type) out. Now we found these crawly maggot type worms in the same room! No flies yet. I've sprayed with "home defense", a very powerful bug killer. and hope it will eliminate these critters once and for all.

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH!!

Try it! Just discovered it 2 weeks ago and a light sprinkle seems to have killed everything in my super disgusting trash can outside.
