One place to put keys. Always. Every time. Immediately after coming in the house.

Emergency key in a combination lock box outside the house

Once I had teens independently coming and going from the house we installed keypad locks. Now we don't have to worry about lost keys or forgetting them in lockers at school.

It is. Somebody told me this one, I started telling other people, and they think i'm a genius! Also, makes packing smaller for those of us with multiple creams.

When cooking pasta, turn the burner off, cover the pot with a lid, and let the pasta cook on residual heat. We do this with dry pasta and also ravioli. We have a gas cooktop and no issues. Works great.

This link is the one I could find this morning, but in the one my husband read this spring on Gizmodo, it said boil water, add pasta, and cover - don't even bother with the "first 2 minutes boiling step" (just do the entire time covered with residual heat).
