| I don't get it. He sounds crazy, condescending and ignorant. He has 0% of the black vote. I am no longer worried about him winning. However, I am terrified of the aftermath of his candidacy. |
|
I wish he would stop talking.
Period. |
| Anyone who talks about "the blacks" is a racist. |
Sounds? |
| He is saying what a certain group of people want to hear. They want to hear someone they perceive as powerful say what they believe is true. They think all blacks are poor, all Mexicans illegal, all Muslims terrorists, and all women hormonal messes. They think America was great when white Christian men held all the political power and they think they'll be back on top of Trump wins. They think the only way Trump couldn't win is a rigged election. |
Are you talking about black people, op? |
That's not true. He has about 2% or 6%, depending on the source. .. . . . . That was tongue in cheek, though the % is still true. |
|
I'm afraid he is saying what a lot of people think and don't say out loud. My father being one of them. If you met him - white, educated , sophisticated, well
Mannered, New England roots, friendly, welcoming all around respectable guy in his community. Also spent most of his life insulated from the "real world". Never worked with or had black friends or colleagues, not exposed to most other cultures but his, religions neither. He doesn't spew Archie Bunker racist comments -- but he is subtly thinking them.
|
He has 0% in OH and PA. |
Oh, please publish that data. |
Yeah, but he's the type who would already vote for Trump. The point is that the condescending statements he's been making to try and win over black votes won't work on the needed demographic -- African Americans. Did anyone read that recent New Yorker piece that says that the data shows that Trumps real supporters like your father, PP. Insulated within their white communities. It's not the people living in border states or the poor. Those are communities that are more diverse, have lots of interracial marriages, jobs where you might work with people that don't look like you, etc. |
Not PP, http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/donald-trump-gets-0-support-black-voters-ohio-pennsylvania-nbc-n609026 |

I'm really confused by these polls. They state right in the poll, LANDLINE. Then they talk about GENDER GUESS, but later they ask the person their gender. Then I see an article about the poll stating AFRICAN AMERICAN, but no where in the poll do I see the question on race.
https://www.scribd.com/document/318216085/NBC-News-WSJ-Marist-Poll-Pennsylvania Then someone boldly predicts 0% support for Trump from African Americans. How are they getting this data. Are these phone polls, in person or what? I guess they mark down if the person sounds black? BTW, if a pollster on the phone sounds black, do people answer questions differently than if they sound white? |
His target audience is not black people but white people who want to vote for him but are afraud of being seen as racist if they do --> soccer mums in Ohio. Pretending he 'cares' gives these voters leave. |
|
Omg, I'm watching the "what do you have to lose?" soundbite for the first time on CNN. I actually loled. I'm AA, and I truly don't think he was really targeting this to AAs or Latinos. "Walk down the street and you'll get shot." Hilarious.
