We are looking for a reasonably priced, yet very good, photographer for our newborn due in May.
We were hoping to pay well under $1K.
Does this person exist in the NoVa area?

I don't know one specifically but something you could look into is finding a photography student or someone who is just starting their photography career. We did this for our wedding (hired someone who was trying to build her portfolio and start her career) and got a great bargain and great pictures too.

I had the same issue with my newborn. After paying a fortune for newborn shots, i spent $300 on a photography class and $600 on a good camera. Mind you I'm still not anywhere as good as a professional, but its a numbers game for me....every 300 or so pictures i get one that looks amazing. So i take alot of pictures.

Highly recommend this route so you can capture all the great memories as your child grows older.

We used the Karolina at Kama photography and she was amazing. It was $600 and worth every penny. She is due with her own baby soon, but it looks like she's taking appointments again starting in May. She comes to you, which was critical with a new baby.
