electrician recommendation for small-ish job

Anonymous
We live in a condo in upper NW DC, and need an electrician to install a few new ceiling fans and fix a wiring issue that has resulting in a dead outlet. Has anyone had service for a job of similar scale you've been happy with? Please share your electrician name and contact info with me if so!

Thanks

Yi Chang on Yelp. I worried his good reviews were fake but they are real. He does really good work. He is doing our basement remodel and inspector was pleased with what he saw.

Texting is easiest for him. He sometimes miss emails.

Wow +1.

When I saw the subject line I already had him in mind.

I was worried and skeptical about all of the five star reviews as well.

But I'd have to say it's well deserved.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Yi again and would recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician.

Reliable Electric, 301-774-1839. Prompt, reasonably priced, and did the work correctly (I don't know much about wiring, but it passed the DC inspection).

This may or may not be a small job. We used Direct Current to install 5 ceiling fans and a new circuit box. They were good and quick.

We talked to about a dozen electricians and he was the only one who got what we wanted (nothing complicated). I was really worried too about all the good reviews but they are well deserved. You worry that he paid for them, but I doubt he did. I also got his name off a few other message boards as well. He sometimes gets a bit busy but he's worth the wait. His assistant is a great guy as well.

OP here-- thanks so much! Talked to Yi today, and am getting an estimate. Really appreciate the recommendations.

Yi is the real deal. I too, was skeptical about the Yelp reviews. He installed 12 recessed lights for us and now he is back to mount our TV. Yi and his team are the most professional contractors I have ever dealt with. He listens, takes the time to consider different options, and makes sure you are happy when the job is complete.

I feel like his name is spreading so he may be busy, but if you have the time, it is worth the wait. He will do it the right way.
