I actually love her outfits - help me put together some fictional Helen outfits I can buy! |
Eileen Fisher would be a good start. |
Eileen Fisher is too dowdy and not tailored enough. Her character wears a lot of Theory, Philip Lim and Alexander Wang. |
Now that I think about it, Helen would totally be a DCUMer in real life, wouldn't she?
I agree, she is quite stylish. I could never live up to that level of stylishness! |
^ Yes you nailed it she also wears some Vince and A.P.C pieces and David Yurman jewelry here and there. |
I was thinking she looked straight out of the Garnet Hill catalogue. |
First season I agree but she is a bit more tailored season 2. |
Eileen Fisher absolutely is not dowdy....it is sophisticated...and they have a new "hip" line called Eileen Fisher Lab (or something like that.) |
Oh please. I wear Eileen Fisher all the time, and while I love it and it suits my work needs, compared to Phlip Lim or Alexander Wang, it is dowdy. DC is an Eileen Fisher haven. Brooklyn, hardly, definitely more Theory/Lim etc. |
Any Helen suggestions on a budget? |
bumping for fall- looking for some good Helen outfits

Plus 1 |
It's not dowdy, but the clothes themselves aren't terribly sophisticated (if that even applies to clothing?). It's really about how they're put together -- the look can be striking, but you need to have the right accessories. Even then, if you have a great body, like Helen, why would you hide it under Eileen Fisher's "generous" cuts? I agree with the PPs above who pegged her for a Theory, Vince, Philip Lim customer. |
Am I missing something. Helen, a great body, huh? There's a reason she is cast as "dowdy wife". Her style is non-existent. Apparently, she focuses on being the perfect mother not a fashion plate. |
I don't get it either. She literally dresses like this every scene |
