Wow. Classist much? You think 'real education' can only be obtained in a university setting? Just what do you think Taylor would learn from college? A degree in creative writing, perhaps, or music, or songwriting? |
I think she's boozing a lot lately because a fake relationship for a year is making her sad and unhappy. No matter how much money is in this, it's still a year of life and a year of living a lie. |
Matt Healy was no transition. She has been in love with him for years. She probably left Joe for him too. Then the fans, media, everyone dragged him through the mud and the guy couldn’t take the heat and walked out. Can’t blame him, not everyone wants that kind of scrutiny into their past (and his is wild!) and into their every move. These are of the songs from the past decade that are likely about him, in addition to the ones on the new album: The One, Cardigan, Question ?, Illicit Affairs, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, End Game, Glitch, Labyrinth, Maroon, Death By a Thousand Cuts, Daylight, Ready For It, Don’t Blame Me, Now That We Don’t Talk, August, This is Me Trying, Cowboy Like Me, Snow on the Beach, August, Gold Rush, Ivy, Closure, Exile, Cornelia Street, False God, So It Goes, maybe Cruel Summer…and who knows how many others. |
Taylor Swift is basically Britney Spears with UMC parents. Her growth is stunted, and it shows. She'd benefit from both a formal education and some real therapy. |
If she’s in love with MH then poor taste in men. |
You can’t make that statement because you know nothing about the real him. As for looks and sex appeal, I will take him over Kelce any night of the week |
Yes, give me Matty H! |
“ What if I can't have him, "I might just die, it would make no difference. Down bad, like I lost my twin.” - Taylor Swift in Down Bad I’d say her drinking is not the moat concerning. I’d be more concerned she is depressed and suppressing it all (“I can do it with a broken heart”). And I hope music boy gets his act together and goes for the girl. It’s painfully clear these two are fated to be together. |
I agree, but don’t care about her one way or another. She can do whatever she wants or needs to. I just care that all these girls are using her as their “role model” and she sucks in a people pleasing, giving into misogyny girl who doesn’t understand her own emotions and isn’t able to properly set boundaries in her life. THe WORST part is that she is upheld as someone who is a positive role model for girls and is a feminist, but she is one of the worst at perpetuating the stereotypes that girls must always please those around her. Which is one of the worst and most dangerous practices women can engage in because constant people pleasing without boundaries is what leads to abuse. |
What? How do you know this?? She was with Joe when she wrote those songs. You are making stuff up. |
I agree. I think this latest album makes it absolutely clear. |
Listen to the lyrics of these songs. She talks about smoking, about missing him on the train (he sings the exact same in one of his songs), about not wanting to be just friends any more etc. None of them fit Joe. So much secret longing, forbidden stuff, emotional cheating. She mouthed to Matty “This Is About You. You Know Who You Are. I Love You” before singing Cardigan at the Eras concert. Etc. |
Fans taking her lyrics hyper literally is so creepy. And makes you so gullible. |
Why are people assuming the lyrics in the songs about her exes are her current state of mind? She did not write those songs yesterday. Wasn’t the purpose of the album to be cathartic and a form of healing for herself? Couldn’t she have put all those feelings out there as a way to let them go, to say this is how I once felt but that chapter is closed and over? She herself wrote words to that effect.

You nailed it. She is stunted and she must be aware of that on some level. I find her relationship with Kelce odd because it means she can be with anyone and has no type. He is SO different than Joe Alwyn, who is the smart artsy well spoken type (he also spoke out to support Gaza like the worldly person he is). |
